Charlotte M. Fare, Ph.D.

Charlotte completed her graduate degree in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at the University of Pennsylvania with Dr. James Shorter. Her thesis work focused on engineering a nuclear import receptor, Karyopherin β2, to transport and chaperone a mutant form of the RNA-binding protein FUS associated with juvenile ALS. She is also a contributor to the Johns Hopkins Biomedical Odyssey Blog.
